Mate, I've tried the link you just gave and the source link and I'm just getting a webpage which has story titles none of which have anything to do with UT3.
I've attached a screenshot of the page I'm getting; I've selected the text otherwise it's hard to see. Don't know whether it's just a few of us who are having problems with the site.
Hey man, I like Star Wars, just like any other red blooded male. I also said in my comment I didn't mind these type of stories, hell I'd like more of them! I agree with sak500, there are too many flamebait stories around.
The only problem I have is that I just know that if I submitted a similar type of story, not being News Bot, I'd get my story reported multiple times with the same old message, "What does this have to do with gaming?"

It looks like the N4G staff have admitted (by NewsBot submitting this) that this is no longer a site devoted to Gaming and Tech but more to the kind of people who like playing games and therefore fall into the right demographic for this kind of news.

That's very true mate, both Microsoft and Sony are currently losing money on this generation of consoles. But you gotta think of it more as an investment, where the money they make from games and accessories and the decreasing production costs will (hopefully) make it worthwhile in the end.

It is indeed a good day to be a Sony fan. I'm lucky as I've got a 360 and Wii as well, so for me it's ALWAYS a good day, whatever bad news or fanboy rants that may occur, I know one of my system's always gonna have something in the way of positive news for it!
I know people are supposed to love the games and not the console, but sometimes I look at that shiny, black, quiet, sleek looking beast of a machine, just sitting there exuding coolness.
Then I look at the 360 sitting next to it, with its white plasticy feel, loud fan, separate power supply and widespread propensity to break down (not mine personally though). Yeah, I love the games and Xbox Live on the 360, but do I love the hardware? Alas, no.

I tell you this mate, despite it now being 60 days since I became a contributor I'm still suffering from the "refresh" obsession as you call it. I've currently got 7 stories approved this morning and I'm checking them all, watching them slowly increase in temperature.

I agree with the general consensus presented so far by the above commenters. Sony may have appealed more to the media and general public if they had released a console at a lower price with an increased quantity and range of games, but it would have been a disaster from their loyal hardcore gamer base.

The funny thing is that most people who get a new version of Windows get it with the purchase of a new computer and as that computer's gonna be much faster than your old one you don't notice the extra loading time and memory use, as the hardware upgrade offsets it.
Also simply wiping your computer and re-installing Windows every 12-18 months can make a MASSIVE difference to performance, if you got the time that is ...
I agree with dfb1977, it's a valid article to submit xhi4. This site has many different sections and yet certain people seem to get angry every time a non-gaming story is submitted and even feel the need to report them.
